
Commissioned by ALDI Vastgoed, we designed this mural for the walls of a new supermarket building.
A testament to the rich tapestry of Scheveningen’s scenery, it’s a blend of key elements – the old church, a herring cart, the dunes, an anchor, old sea compass, the iconic lighthouse, a sand castle, surfers, boats and sealife, to name but a few.
At first glance, it challenges perception, playfully inviting the viewer to decipher: the more you look, the more treasures unfold. The predominant dark blue colour scheme reflects the connection to the sea and subtly incorporates both Aldi logo and Scheveningen’s coat of arms.
