In 2026, the Central Library once again hosted the event “Which Language Does The Hague Speak?”, where seventeen residents read their texts in both Dutch and their native language. As with the previous publication, we were asked to create the design.
In this edition, each participant was assigned an individual color. Together, these colors form an abstract artwork of layered bands, representing the distinct voices and languages, while also referencing the sea, sky, and dunes of The Hague.
The abstract artwork appears on the cover and continues throughout the book. In the center, it spreads across a removable A2 centerfold poster.

“We had no doubts, Eyal and Myrthe are enthusiastic, proactive, and especially attentive to detail. We look back on a very pleasant collaboration and are absolutely delighted with the final result... A beautiful publication!”
