A unique two-way book, “The Pope and the Cat / The Man on the Scaffolding” (“De Paus en de Poes / De Man in de Steigers”) brings together two illustrated stories in four languages – Dutch, German, French and Italian – each beginning from opposite sides of the book. This project was commissioned by publisher Skribis.
A copy of the book was sent to Pope Francis, who was known for his affinity with languages. He responded personally, expressing his appreciation, asking for prayers and offering his blessing.
